The NXXT Golf Tour Purse Policy is established to provide clear, consistent, and transparent guidelines for purse payouts across all tour events. Our objective is to balance financial responsibility with maximizing competitive opportunities as the tour continues to grow. We are committed to maintaining fairness and clarity in all aspects of our purse distribution.
Purse Funding Structure
NXXT events fall into two categories:
(1) Player-Funded Events, where the purse is generated from player entry fees, and
(2) Sponsored Events, where external partners contribute additional purse funds.
Each event’s purse category will be clearly identified on the tournament information page.
Unless otherwise stated, events operate under the Player-Funded Purse Model described below.
Guaranteed Winner Minimums (Player-Funded Events)
To maintain competitive integrity and a strong playing experience, NXXT guarantees a minimum winner’s cheque based on field size. The guaranteed amount will always be paid, even if the purse percentage calculation would otherwise result in a lower number.
Minimum Winner’s Cheque by Field Size:
• 1–29 players: $2,000 minimum
• 30–40 players: $2,500 minimum
• 41–60 players: $3,000 minimum
• 61–80 players: $4,000 minimum
• 81–102 players: $5,000 minimum
• 103–144 players: $7,500 minimum
If the calculated purse generates a higher winner amount, the higher amount will be used.
Player-Funded Events – How the Purse Is Calculated
For all non-sponsored events, the purse is determined as a percentage of total entry fees collected and scales by field size. This model ensures transparency, fairness, and sustainability across all NXXT events.
Purse Percentages by Field Size:
• 1–29 players: 38% of total entry fees
• 30–40 players: 40% of total entry fees
• 41–60 players: 42% of total entry fees
• 61–80 players: 43% of total entry fees
• 81–144 players: 45% of total entry fees
These percentages reflect the portion of entry revenue allocated directly to the purse.
The final purse is published to all participants page prior to Round 1.
Sponsored Events
Events receiving sponsor contributions may feature enhanced purses and elevated minimum payouts.
Sponsored event purses will be noted as “Sponsored Purse” on the tournament information page.
Purse enhancements, if any, will be announced with the tournament details.
Prize Distribution Format
Purse distribution at all NXXT events follows three universal rules:
Approximately the top 33% of the field will earn prize money.
The winner will typically receive 28–32% of the total purse, subject to the minimum guarantees above.
All remaining payouts follow a standardized descending payout curve, ensuring consistent and fair distribution across all events.
Amateur Eligibility for Prize Money
Amateurs may receive prize money only if they register under the professional entry category.
Special Notes
• In extremely small fields, NXXT may adjust the payout curve slightly while still guaranteeing the winner minimum.
• Events featuring Pro-Ams or enhanced sponsor activations may allocate additional funds to the purse.
