Scotland’s Alison Muirhead converts record-setting 64 into first NXXT Women’s Pro Tour victory.
Lake Jovita, FL — Scotland’s Alison Muirhead delivered a commanding performance this week at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, turning a record-setting opening round into her first NXXT Women’s Pro Tour victory.
Muirhead opened the championship with a stunning 8-under-par 64, establishing a new course record and immediately separating herself from the field. She followed with rounds of 74 and 70 to finish at 8-under-par 208, securing a two-shot win in a competitive international field.
The Scottish professional combined early momentum with steady closing play, leading the tournament from the opening day and finishing the week first in the field with 17 birdies.
The victory marks a significant milestone for Muirhead, who has competed on the NXXT platform for 3 years, and now adds her first title to a growing professional résumé.
Ericsson and Barker Apply Final-Round Pressure
Despite Muirhead’s dominant start, the championship remained competitive heading into the final round.
Sweden’s Sara Ericsson continued her steady play throughout the week, closing with a 2-under-par 70 to finish runner-up at 6-under-par 210.
Meanwhile, Gabby Barker mounted one of the strongest charges of the day, firing a 4-under-par 68, the lowest round of the final day, to climb into third place at 5-under-par 211.
The leaderboard reflected the international depth of the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour, with contenders representing multiple countries and pushing the championship through the closing holes.
Precision Pro Low Round of the Week
Muirhead’s record-setting opening 64 also earned her the Precision Pro Low Round of the Week, an award presented at each NXXT event to the player recording the best single round of the tournament.
The award includes a Precision Pro rangefinder, recognizing elite scoring performances throughout the season.
Amateur Spotlight: Lemke Leads NXXTGen Contingent
Amateur standout Katherine Lemke delivered the top amateur performance of the championship, finishing even-par (216) to claim Low Amateur honors while competing against a professional field that included LPGA and Epson Tour players.
Lemke competed through the NXXTGen “Play Up with the Pros” opportunity, a program that allows elite junior players to gain experience in professional championship environments while earning opportunities for WAGR and JGS ranking points.
The performance underscores the growing strength of the NXXTGen development pathway, which provides rising players the chance to test their games at the professional level.
